How Pounce scoring works
These are the scoring rules in the Polar Pounce app:
- +1 for every card you played to the middle (the Foundations).
- −1 for every card still in your Pounce pile.
- +5 bonus for the player who empties their Pounce pile and calls “POUNCE!”
Example: 20 cards in the middle, Pounce pile empty, and you Pounced: 20 + 5 − 0 = 25. Play up to 10 rounds. The highest total wins.
Playing classic Nertz? Switch the scoring to Classic Nertz under Players: +1 per card in the middle, −2 per card left in your Nertz pile, no bonus. House rules vary, so you can also tap Type scores and enter any score you like, minus scores too.
